To Apply:
- Fill out the form to receive further application instructions
- Submit a qualifying 91ÇÑ×Ó Latin America college program application (the $50 application fee is waived for the eligible programs below)
- Complete the Scholarships & Grants and the 91ÇÑ×Ó Leading Change in Latin America Student Fellowship sections of the 91ÇÑ×Ó application
If Selected, You Must:
- Be passionate about experiencing Latin American culture
- Act as an ambassador for your program, sharing your journey on social media
Award Details:
100 students will receive a full award toward a 91ÇÑ×Ó semester program in Latin America, including program fees and a living stipend of $2,000.
The Details
- Have a submitted application for any qualifying program by October 1, 2025 (for a spring 2026 program)
- Be an undergraduate sophomore or junior from an accredited institution at the time of participation
- Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or permanent resident
- Preference for Pell-eligible applicants (not required)
- Have pre-existing public social media accounts
As part of your application, you will be required to create a captivating video that showcases your passion for Latin America and your potential as a student fellow. This video should be submitted as a link in your My91ÇÑ×Ó application.
We want to see your unique perspective and creative flair! Tell us why you're the ideal candidate for the 91ÇÑ×Ó Leading Change in Latin America Student Fellowship.
In your video, please address the following:
- Your Connection to Latin America: Why are you drawn to Latin American culture and what inspires you about the region?
- Study Abroad Goals: What do you hope to achieve by studying abroad in Latin America? How will this experience shape your future?
- Student Fellow Potential: How would you creatively share your study abroad experience with others? What unique perspective or skills can you bring as a student ambassador?
Be bold, be creative, and let your personality shine! We're looking for videos that are engaging, informative, and visually appealing.
Video Requirements:
- Maximum length of 3-4 minutes
- High-quality video and audio
- Subtitles or closed captions are strongly encouraged

As a Latin America Fellow, you will be expected to spend 2-4 hours per week creating engaging social media content on your channels as well as 91ÇÑ×Ó's owned social media accounts (TikToks, Instagram Reels/Posts/Stories, etc.). You will also be expected to be a 91ÇÑ×Ó Campus Ambassador upon returning home from your program. Details to follow.

The 91ÇÑ×Ó Leading Change in Latin America Student Fellowship fully covers 91ÇÑ×Ó program fees but won't cover students' full cost to their home universities. Check with your institution for full fee details.
